Why men cheat their wives?

Theories ko lang. Feel free to disagree:

• May hinahanap si lalake na hinde maibigay ng babae. This is the simplest and most common reason.

• Kung PSPs at FUBUs lang trip ni lalake, the girl should somewhat feel ‘safe’ (or rather, should look at it as an easy problem to fix) as the guy is not necessarily ‘cheating’ on her but rather, naghahanap lang ng tawag ng laman na hinde maibigay ni babae. The girl should simply level-up her sexual skills to satisfy her man. I’m sure the man just looks at those PSPs as simply toys anyway – he just pays them their exact rate, no tip, doesn’t even give the PSP drinks/food, and after the agreed deed, decides to immediately part ways. His heart would still very much belong to his wife.

• However, kung si lalake ang habol nya kay kerida ay hinde lang kantot at dine-date na nya, ina-out-of-town/country trip nya, etc. etc…ibig sabihin, na-eenjoy nya kasama si kerida. Pag mas madalas magkasama si lalake and kerida, baka nga mas enjoy ni lalake ang company ni kerida kaysa kay babae.

• A probably rarer reason (but very, very understandable and very, very important) is maybe THE GUY DIDN’T REALLY WANT TO MARRY HER (OR GET MARRIED, IN GENERAL) IN THE FIRST PLACE. Now, how can this happen?

As you know, traditional Filipino culture dictates that a person’s path in life should be “graduate from school at late teens/early 20s --> get a job at early-to-mid-20s --> marry someone at mid-20s-to-early-30s --> have kids and a family by late-20s/early-30s.” or something along those lines.

It’s possible si lalake (and even si babae) felt pressure to abide by that tradition and thus, chose to marry the person that they feel they are closest/relatable to at that time. They probably never took the time to really get to know each other…nagkasundo lang on a few things at nagtawanan lang on a few jokes and sa tingin nila, they’re already meant for each other. This is a very, very common thing and definitely more common than most people realize. It’s actually one of the key reasons why a lot of marriages failed during the 80s and 90s (‘annulment’ was such a buzz word back then). Of course, people were more traditional back then. At least ngayon yung mga millennials talagang nagrreasearch na sila and they really take the time to look at all the nooks and crannies to see if a person is a worthy life partner. But not all millennials are like that, unfortunately.

Agree ako dito. Pero paps pag tawag ng laman di yu. Cheating? Sabihin natin na pleasure lang pero walang emotions.

Isn't it interesting and ironic that the term GFE is so common in boards like this. "Girlfriend experience" and yet most men here are married or in a relationship. So the men don't get the GFE with their own GF or wife? If that's true then would it have been better to have stayed single?
