Things weren't going well, we started having issues out of trivial stuff, we did not have real fights, we just started getting "cold" with each other.
Then one day, as if on cue, the calls, the messages, the e-mails, everything just stopped. No words uttered, no signals sent.
Many years after, we ran into each other in a mall, said our casual his and hellos, went for coffee and caught up with each other's lives, continued this over a couple of drinks for a night cap bonding like old friends, then hugged and kissed each other goodbye. All those hours we didn't talk about our past relationship.
